After today's race and some of the bad luck that has fallen some of the French riders, I have modified my MXoN prediction.
GBN have plenty of fast guys that may not win, but they will be there getting low points. Healthy and motivated at a "home" track. So I have them winning it.
2-4 can be a coin toss, and yes I did leave the US off the podium, but the French injuries may have just changed that.
I really want to put Bel as 2, but for now I am keeping France on the number 2 spot and Bel number 3, leaving the US at 4.
With the luck the French team has been having lately, I feel a strong urge to put Bel at number 2 and USA number 3. Just too many performance unknowns for our MX1 and MX3 class.

Belgium has them covered I think
I'm putting the Netherlands first
I would like that to happen but the chances are slim. I think it's gunna be.
NED
USA

Osborne should dominate his class, especially considering that the younger group of AMA riders who did fairly well only had a combined 4 podium moto finishes all this past MX season.
I think that Seely will have a couple of consistent rides between 4th and 8th, and Covington will put together at least one top 10.

I thought he would be 450 with Convington on the 250
I don't hold the same hope as you do for Team GB either, getting on the podium would be a great result. Assuming Febvre is out after knocking himself silly today, it'll be a fight between Netherlands, USA and Belgium in my book, with a long shot for GB and maybe Switzerland (assuming Tonus is riding?).
I agree with Osborne doing well in the 250 class, dominating is not a word I will use, but one can hope.
I just did a quick search on Covington and the MXoN and he stated in an interview he really likes the 450 as he feels it fits him better. Still him and Seely are the wild cards and consistency is key.
For me, i was looking at the results per nation today and GBR had a great showing, that is what is swinging my opinion. There is good depth there consistency wise.
Febvre got his 3rd concussion in 14(?) months, that is not good. I wouldn't be surprised if he sits out the race.
Seewer and Jonass will be much better than they showed yesterday, plus Searle will be up to speed by then hopefully.
I've got the Netherlands to win Herlings dominates the open class. Bogers and Goldenhoff both able to top 10 there races providing they get the starts. It's all gunna come down to starts I think.
USA in the same situation to be honest. I expect Osbourne to be fastest MX2 guy and Seely and Covington are capable of top 10.
I am right in thinking that the points system works just like a normal race no matter what class you are in ? So if MX2 rider finish's 5th in the race but 1st mx2 he is awarded the 5th points amount and not the 1st.....
None of them finished in the top 8 overall.
Osborne was on another level from those guys. Again, it's possible that Osborne could have a catastrophic day or something, but if everyone is healthy and running their best he definitely should dominate. But there's a reason that they run the races.
