alive ps3 private race a possibility?

I thought the online play was a major importance for thq to fix for Alive.

Exactly how do you set up and invite a friend (PS3) to a private session that allows you to race against each other?

Tried everything. After inviting friends it always comes up "session has ended" on their end. Is there any online private game capability in this game? Tried rookie mx with stock bikes, etc.

Fyi we are able to invite and play Reflex against each other.

Or is this just another of the 63,584 other problems this game shipped with?

I had an issue there for a while, my ps3 for some reason turned off upnp or whatever it's called, causing me to have a NAT3.

enabled upnp, rebooted, tested the network, came up as NAT2. online seems to be okay now


However, i still have a problem with a few of the guys on here trying to race with. no matter what we do we always get the "this session is no longer available"

I have had no problems with private races with friends on PS3.

i usually dont have problems. but sometimes i get that message. then ill reset my ps3 and it works fine. another trick people say to do is start the game up, then connect to internet. havent had enough problems to try this yet. i have a friend that lives close by that has only been able to connect to me like twice out of 100 times.
online gameplay is better, but seems like the other problems out weigh the good.

barrington and I havn't been able to join either "this session is unavailable"

seems to be always with the same people.

Been having some pretty fun battles with some of the guys from Vital. You need to get on there more.
