Sorry if I mess something up, I'm just a girl using my husbands account!

We have an in-the-crate, never ridden / assembled (other than our kids sitting on it) 2007 Limited Ricky Carmichael Edition Makita Suzuki RMZ450.

My poor hubby is probably going to have to sell this, and I'm doing a little research behind his back (but he probably will see this if he logs on and looks at his posts..... hopefully not). He's a utility contractor that got stiffed when the general contractor he worked for decided to get out of communications. He's been fighting for his money in court for almost 3 years now and the savings have finally ran out. He's pretty sure he's going to sell this bike, but was stressing he doesn't even know what it's worth.

Anyone have any ideas / knowledge on the subject? It would be much appreciated!

Whatever someone is willing to pay for it, but I would reasonably expect at least 5, maybe 6 grand from an average buyer. You could get more, but if you are in a rush to sell, you might not have time to wait.

He's got the 2 stroke 250 version too, but I know for a fact we would be living in the box the bike came in before he sold that one!

Ebay would probably bring the most money. Probably 5K ish. All depends on who the buyer is.

OP. Thats a spot on fair offer.

JWAK, You should contact Derek Anderson about your 04. I bet he'd be a serious buyer for it. This thread just made me think of it...... still wish I could nab it. That's all.

I think it's a fair offer as well. On the other hand if that RC 250 were mine you would have to pry it out of my dead hands! Collector items for sure.

I'm sorry guys. I wasn't kidding. He would rather lose our house and live in the cardboard box the 2 stroke came in before he sold it.

I know the 450 will be the first on his chopping block as its his least favorite bike. Speaking of museums, I'm sure u guys would love all the bikes he has. And. 3 wheelers, and signed gear... it's crazy.

If anyone is seriously interested in the 450 let me know.

And if anyone knows Ricky I'll take his number Wink Lol. But I doubt he would have any interest in a replica bike!

I don't blame him on the 250 one bit. I'm still interested in the 450.

Well, my husband logged on and saw this post so it's official. He is willing to sell the Makita Suzuki 450. Let us know if you are interested in buying it. Sucker is MINT! Hoping someone out there needs a sweet new toy! Thanks from "the meddling wife"

Here's some photos of the 250. But it's NOT for sale. Hubby plans to be buried riding it I think... or stuffed and riding it... something weird and obsessive.

Can I ask why ppl like the 250 so much more? Are 2 strokes just "cooler"?

And the snap on tools he just bought for write offs n stuff. Any special colors etc. A lot of that may be getting sold too. About to put on craigslist an epic series 8 burner snap on BBQ grill /rotisserie.

The 2 stroke is more valuable because it's the last generation of the RM250 two stroke before they stopped making them in 2008. Plus it's the RC edition so it's collectible. And you can't go buy one at the motorcycle shop anymore.

The RC450 is really cool and collectible but they still make the rmz450 and it has evolved into a better bike that you can just go buy at the shop if you want.. For about 6k.
This one will really need to go to a collector who wants to stare at it more than ride it.

I think JWACK nailed it.

However the 2 strokes being "cooler" just goes without even saying. Hehe!

Sorry to hear about the hard times B DUB 333. Hope things turn around quickly for you.

Anythings for sale at the right price. Pretty sure if someone had 8-10k offered for that rm, it would be gone.
