Not sure if there is any interest in this or not. Finished the bike in 2010 and only road it twice. 1996 cr125 frame with 1988 xr200 motor. It runs and handles good. I used stock parts from different year bikes for everything except engine mounts. I can provide a list if interested. plastic is from CRF450 and gas tank is crf150f. The bearings were replaced in 2008 as well as suspension serviced. It’s been sitting most of the time since then. Motor has never been touched. It used to be my dads bike, he rode very little.
I built this cause I found the cr125 with no motor. Rear spikes are frozen and can’t be tightened. Welding needs to be cleaned up. I used the lower cradle from the xr200. When I cut the cr125 frame the xr200 cradle went into the holes and welded in nicely. Taking offers. I live near Dallas, Tx. The cr125 was at a dealer for repair. Motor was trashed and owner didn’t want to fix it. Owner sold me the rolling frame. I never got a title. Thanks

Thanks. It’s definitely an exercise in problem solving. I don’t think I would do it again. It was a fun project though.
Most interesting part is the list of bikes that I was able to get parts from. Almost everything is from a stock bike, mostly Honda.

What kind of $$ are you thinking? This might actually be perfect for my wife...…. We got her a CR125 after she learned on a klx 125, but she doesn't like riding the 2 stroke. She wanted to put a CRF150R motor in the CR 125, but that's more fabricating than I'm comfortable with doing...…

Super rad bike. I wanted to do the same kind of build, but I don't have the time, skills, or funds to make it happen!

I’m not sure on the money. I had $850 offered, I havnt taken it. It still needs some work. Rear tire spokes need replacing. Kickstarter gear feels like it’s missing a tooth. Carburetor needs cleaning or adjustment. Bogs at 3/4 throttle. I rode it today and it’s realty easy to ride. I have a crf450 subframe on it. It sits higher. You might have to cut that down for her. there’s almost 2” of threads left to turn the shock though.

Yea, i had to do a lowering link on her rear shock and then shaved her seat foam down a bit just so she can touch tippy tow. She wants to ride a full size bike, but doesn't need full size bike power so this has me interested. Are you planning on messing with it anymore and fixing the stuff listed above, or are you wanting to sell it as is?

For now, it’s as is. If no one is interested I may fix it.

Hey, do you still have the bike? I messaged you about it but I’m not sure if you get those notifications.
