You want an 08+ YZ 125, that was the model with the latest updates. If you wanted a YZ 250 you would go 06+.

Why was the top and bottom end done at 19 hours? And considering that, does it mean it has to be done again in another 4 hours when it hits 38 hours Tongue .

I did the top end at 18hrs just because I'd planned to all along, in the winter. I reassembled and ran it for 1 hour and cooked the big end bearing, air leak I presume.. I sent the whole engine to Roth to go all out on, turbo crank, everything. He wasn't able to drill the crank halves as they are hardened so just got it balanced and rebuilt with all OEM parts and the top end mods. The bottom end is already matched and transmission polished from the factory so no extra work was put into it.

I'd do the top end again at 40h, if you put it back together properly unlike me, the bottom end should be good for a long time to come.

A mate just bought the 2017 144 EN. It's a weapon. I'll invest in a TM one day, been a big fan for years.

I figured so, but doesnt hurt to explain why the bottom end was done in under 20 hours anyways, lol.. Definitely not typical for these bikes.
