I’ve been using the DID ERT chains since they came out. The ERT2 and even the ERT3 and I’ve been a little disappointed recently. They seem to stretch way more and faster than ever. I honestly think the quality his gone down. I just put an RK on my new bike and other than the normal 1st Moto stretch, it’s been so solid. Not to mention the GOLD color seems to be looking good, where the DID would’ve already started looking “used”.

Here’s the ERT3, if the OP is interested

Gotta run the DID MX520. It came out back when I worked at pit pro and they told us that the ert2 was no longer recommended for 450’s

I offered him cost on all chains through rocky, The ert3 was $68 plus shipping. He didn't respond, I was just being a jokester with the 80k Ebay chain

Hope you’re not using it on a 450... I used one of those chains once and it stretched every time I rode the bike. It ruined my rear sprocket in less than 10 hours.

I had the same issue. I've always liked rental products, but that chain was junk

I run the ert2 on all my bikes (125 - 250 two strokes) and love them. I bought a few more at the end of last year when I found some on ebay for $58. I guess they were being closed out for the ert3?

I strongly recommend the new Mika Metails 520 Chain -

Here is the verbiage from their website:
Mika Metals X Ring Factory Series Chains use exclusive next level bushings that slow elongation of the chain and increase chain life. The X ring design of the seals reduces friction by over 50% compare to standard O ring chains. It is one of the lightest and strongest off road (X ring or O ring) chains on the market with a tensile strength of over 10,000.

Interestingly enough I find the mika metals x ring chain to be a pile of junk compared to the 60 or whatever dollar primary drive x ring chain that literally elongated once, and then I may of had to adjust one other time over an entire season. I had forgotten how much I hated adjusting chains every ride until I put one of these on my 450.

I know this chain is newer so the one you may be referencing was an older version of it. I have been extremely impressed with this chain and didn't need adjusting after 3-4 hours of ride time. I am an AA rider.

The RK you linked, are you using on 250 or 450? And you went with the oring version as well? the ert2 was non-oring.
Ran the ert2 for a while but wouldnt mind switching it up.

I've had the same experience. Haven't been impressed with the last 2 times I've used a DID ERT_ chain. Just purchased an RK to try as well. It's a bummer because I do like the DID stuff...it'll drive my OCD nuts having an RK chain with DID rims.
