Hello all,
I am looking for the above needle. It was sold as a two-steps leaner needle (stock is -74) by Honda for the 2002 CR250R Mikuni TMX. A few sites show “usually ships in...days” but it’s actually discontinued from what I understand. Sudco wouldn’t sell it because Mikuni only made it for Honda.

I was hoping someone either had one or had a way to search dealers for NOS. My eBay searches have come up dry.

Thanks for any help.

An S7 needle jet from an earlier YZ125 should get you close.

So go leaner jet vs leaner needle? I wondered about that, but wouldn’t that affect main circuit as well?

Edit:
Just read the chart. So if I understand correctly, since the needle I was looking for is only different in total diameter by .010, changing to the two step leaner jet accomplishes the same thing with the stock needle?

Pretty sure at WOT the main jet is the main restriction. There are graphics that show the ranges of effectiveness for each circuit.

Ok that makes sense. So I’ll be able to simulate the leaner needle, then still tune the main independently.

In thinking about it, that makes sense. If it were the other way, main jet tuning would be meaningless.

Thanks for all the help!
