WTB Crf spring A kit,

1/13/2018 11:52am Edited Date/Time 1/18/2018 12:37pm
Looking for very clean A-kit, but will possibly take stuff that needs re-coating if the price reflects the time, effort and cost it'll take to sort it out...

Interested in forks only, or forks and shock depending on what year bike the shocks off as they're going on an old cr.

Prefer a set from the EU as to skip the import/vat, but the location isn't a deal breaker.

If you have anything give me a shout,
Thanks

I do, but I am in the USA.

Location isn't a problem for the right set, what are the full details of the forks and what are you asking for them ?

Got any up to date pics you can throw up ?

Thanks

What's been done to the upper tubes, it doesn't look like kashima in the pic, or is it just the light ?

EDIT, Are you willing to split as i don't think the shock will work on my bike ?

Geico team kit. Forks and shock.

They look in beautiful condition, but i'm after the kashima look, and just don't think the shock will work on my old cr unfortunately, but thank you for the offer all the same.

EDIT, with that said though, they are the perfect weight for me, so if you do decide you'll let the forks go separately, let me know a price.

Yeah it really stands out in that side by side pic, it looks a lot paler, what actually is it though, anadising or something else ?

Not sure on coating name, it's team stuff. Legit Showa kit shock and forks.

Well if you change your mind on splitting hit me up with a price on the forks and a few close up shots of them including both ends, caps, lugs etc and i'll give it some serious thought, if the condition and weight are perfect, it'd be silly of me to dismiss them over colour.

Thanks again for your time

Not exactly a kit but sorta close.
49mm showa spring forks off a 17 crf450. The internals are like a kit, I know I've taken apart both. Good cheaper alternative to have them coated whatever color you want. 1200 plus shipping

Thanks for the offer bud but i only want factory/kit forks, sorry

Ah, the same seller had KYB spring forks and I didnt realize he had a listing for both spring and air. Yes, I ended up finding forks and shock for CR250. Is that what you are putting this on?

Did you buy the 16 crf250 a-kit shock off here, from the EU ? If so could you let me know what you end up having to do to fit it please ?

Same with the forks if you got a set off something other than a crf, i only ask as i noticed you were willing to buy kxf or rmz with the hope of getting the lugs changed, iirc ?

I'm after these for an old 2003 cr125, so shock wise the only chance i've got of finding a direct fit A-kit rear is if i can get an old one off a 05/06/07 crf450, if it's not off one of these three years only, it will need the length and stroke changing unfortunately, still unsure what to do about the shock tbh, so any info you find out while doing your conversion would be appreciated, for example, any accurate crf 250 and 450 shock measurements for bikes after 2010 would be helpful, i can only find stuff with eye to eye and stroke measurements from like 02-10, so there could be other options i don't know about, i just can't find solid info.

Thanks

I did buy it and I'm still researching on what I need to fit it. I tried calling around for some more info but waiting on calls back. I have CR250 PC A kit fork lugs I can change out to make any brand fit of PC A Kit forks fit. I actually just picked up some Pro Circuit A Kit (forks and shock) that I am having the upper fork tubes refinished for. I will let you know what I find. There is a chance I am getting a deal on some new KYB stuff so I'll have some extra kits if that ends up working out.

you can turn those Honda forks into a kit cheaper than a full set would cost..coatings...A kit rebound adjusters..and An A kit Comp adjuster. only difference between production forks and the Crf is the coatings and 4 clicks per Rev, and A kit has 8 clicks..
