Looking to do the conversion for my YZ250 2t.

Don't have the ability to machine so direct bolt on would be ideal. Let me now what you've got.

Just did the complete swap on my own personal bike.

I also have the a complete 2010 YZ450 im parting out. The swing arm off it will work as well. Let me know if you want it.

A little bit higher rising rate I believe, in addition to a more modern look.

It’s a bit of an expensive mod for the payoff, but if you are a hardcore rider and looking for every bit you can get out of it, it will help.

The rising rate is better, its a little lighter and looks better. I parted an 09 450 and got all the stuff that way. You also have to swap the rear brake as well. Or just the caliper mount.

LCgordon the 08 swingarm is the older version. 09 was the first year of the different swingarm.

It supposedly saves 3 lbs in the process as well as better handling but we will see. I am doing a full rebuild on a yz250 from the frame up but the swingarm on the bike is hammered. I'm talking like mushroomed at the pivot points.

The only known direct bolt on is apparently the 09 YZ four stoke series so I will report back on that. Obviously need new hub to accept the larger axle diameter and brake caliper hanger but that should be it.

I found a 09 yz250f swingarm (slightly shorter that the yz450f) today for $185 and a full rear caliper setup that is pretty much brand new for $78 (which I needed because this was also mushroomed $199).

Just need an 09 linkage which there are a few on ebay for $75. I planned on getting new axle blocks already and I just need an axle.

$400 mod.. I will report back.
