OK guys, I'm looking for an older, hopefully not-too-clapped-out RM85 for my daughter. I can fix almost anything, but I'm hoping for a mechanically sound, running machine in the '03 and newer range. Preferably stock. If it's ugly, that's OK. $800, $1,000, $1200 - depends on condition.

Here's what I'm NOT looking for:
A full-mod racebike or supermini
A Kawasaki
A Yamaha
A Honda
A KTM
Sidi Crossfires that would fit an RM85 rider
...etc. Grinning

Anyone have the magic ticket?

PS- I live near Temecula, CA (of course.) I'll drive a little if I have to, but not to Texas or anything. (Sorry Tyler!)

05+ are preferable. Anodized rear shock, larger rear brake rotor, slightly different powervalve, better chain adjusters, bearing supported shift drum and a few other minor changes.

Also, try searchtempest when looking for craigslist stuff.
