I have used stators from as early as 2002 on an Alum frame yz, just a heads up. I would guess even 1999 and after would work. They work fine. You can even put a new 2020 crank in a 99 engine. Unless you get a good deal here, OEM for like 200 but is better than a roached unit for half or 3/4 new. eBay prices are insane for yz stators considering their condition.
