Hello Vital members,
Long time lurker, first time poster. I have five autographed motocross jerseys for sale, including the following:
Travis Pastrana #199 No Fear Elektron jersey. Travis signed this jersey with his name and the inscription of X-Games Gold Medalist 99
Jeremy McGrath #1 No Fear Elektron jersey
Greg Albertyn #1 Thor AC Vented jersey
Guy Cooper UFO Racing jersey
Tom Carson Fox 360 Vented jersey
The Travis Pastrana, Greg Albertyn, Guy Cooper, and Tom Carson jerseys were bought from Tom Carson in 2000, as part of a charity auction. Tom Carson, a top level racer in his own right, used to mechanic for Paul Edmondson in the GNCC’s in 1998, and is now with the Alpinestars Mobile Medical Unit. We met Tom Carson through our friend, the late Tom Weaver, of Weavers Suzuki, in Weirton, WV. We were at Tom Weaver’s motorcycle shop when Tom Carson and his wife were there and told us about the charity auction. We gave him a list of some jerseys we’d bid on if he could get them, and these are the ones we won. If I remember correctly, we picked the jerseys up from Tom Carson at the John Penton GNCC at Sunday Creek Raceway in Millfield, OH
I bought the Jeremy McGrath autographed jersey from the No Fear website in 2000. They used to sell jerseys autographed by Jeremy McGrath and Kevin Windham. From the picture, you can see a small tear in the "Z" of the Mazda logo. this is where the neck line of the jersey come together.
The Pastrana and Albertyn jerseys were worn during races in the 2000 AMA National Motocross series. I cannot attest as to whether or not the Cooper or Carson jerseys were race worn.
