Am curious if it's easier/quicker to sell on there than here or eBay.

It looks like you have to link your bank account, which I'm a little leery of doing.

They also charge fees just like EBay. 😡

I’ve used them for both buying and selling. Fees are cheaper than ebay I’m pretty sure. Plus stuff sells quick(typically). I’ve had my bank account linked for some time now too, and have had no issues. I won’t waste my time selling/buying mx stuff anywhere else really.

It’s pretty good, my only issue is the buyer has to fulfill the order after they receive it, or else you have to wait two days to get paid. I’ve had to remind every buyer to click the fulfill button. I love buying from there though

Never seen the fulfill button. Have bought and sold a few things there and it's convenient. All the dealers on there are annoying though.

It’s pretty legit, I’ve sold a few things on there before but haven’t bought anything off of it yet.

I have purchased a few items off MXLocker, worked great for me. Being that I am in Canada too, the shipping rates are very reasonable.

Posted my Pro Circuit TI-6 on here for about a month with no luck. Posted it on MXLocker 2 weeks ago and it sold within 2 days. The fees are expensive, but I just added that into the cost and it still sold. The buyer verified when he received so I got my money right away and he even left a 5 star review.

I’ve used and loved MX locker since they were established. Great guys and company that help move parts easily. If you’re worried about the fees just add that onto the price you’re looking to get.

I use here and there about equally. Good luck with both.

had a bad luck streak on mx locker, after a few successful purchases I had one order that I bought and seller never responded to messages and never shipped even though it was on ebay for more money from same seller. Luckily mx locker made things right and I also found two items I really wanted and could never get a response from the sellers. After my last incident and wasting weeks waiting for a part now if I don't get a reply to my message I know the people aren't reliable and won't buy anything from that person. I've had way better success here but I still like mx locker.

I ordered knee braces from there, from privateer connection, I might have that wrong, I was shocked how fast they came, just as advertised

Do they try to get 11% on bike transactions too?

I got ripped off on a FMF pipe for my RMZ. It showed up with a rusted header, flange was bent so bad I couldn't get it on the studs. The silencer mount had broken rivet nuts, the silencer was broken and cracked below the mount. When I took pictures and complained, mx locker gave me the corporate BS. "I don't see rust, I don't see bent flange and rusted header, I don't see broken silencer mount. When I posted the same exhaust for sale they took my add down, I offered free JB weld with exhaust. Fuck MXlocker.

I’ve had good success with a couple purchase and sales. Early on the interface and navigation for the selling process was pretty clumsy, but I think it’s been streamlined of it.

After the corporate BS, I was offered a partial refund. The guy I contacted at MXlocker could have said sorry for the inconvenience, and settled it was the seller. I’m self employed and have to eat shit sometimes.

I still have the pipe if the refund is available. I took and bent the flange in my vice and filed the holes bigger to fit. Sanded the rust out of the header and JB welded the crack. I fixed the broken rivet nuts with fender washers. I thought about selling it but I’m not going to hell over a dirt bike exhaust.

The fees aren't bad, ebay is more like 20%. I realized long ago that even if you sell on here or locally with "no fees", everyone always wants some sort of deal so you end up letting the item go for ~10% less anyway.

One thing I do find annoying about MX Locker is how it's flooded with dealers selling items at msrp. If I'm looking to pay full price, I'm either going to my local dealer, Amazon or RMATV.

I find this very frustrating. I have to wade through 40 ads for new in box goggles for more than motosport is selling them for plus outrageous shipping just to check out one used set of levers or something. I wish they would cut down on that. It should be for used stuff and deals only.

I sell a lot on MX Locker. I find it easy, get paid relatively quickly, and alot of people use it. The 11% fee isn’t bad, and honestly takes the pain away for me trying to get PayPal info, venmo etc. they want it, they buy it right there. I have had better luck on there then Vital. You can print a shipping label right from the site as well which is convenient.

A quick little update to everyone who uses our platform: we've got tons of user feedback over the past couple of months, and have a huge update releasing in the next couple of days! Our goal here is to make it as easy as possible for every user to buy and sell extra gear, parts, and bikes they no longer use to support the circular economy within our industry.

MX Locker started for me during college to make extra money on the side with this sport being so expensive. Appreciate everyone's continued support of our platform over the past couple of years, and look forward to releasing tons of new updates.

Some new updates releasing:

- More personalized feed

- MX Locker Shipping Labels (automatically get a shipping label when an item sells). We have suggested weights and dimensions for every category on our platform.

- Being able to add multiple bikes to your garage

- Minimum offer prices (automatically reject offers below a certain value)

- New categories + tons of other new product/designs being released.

Always open to listening to customer feedback, if you have any ideas shoot them my way - my inbox is open!

Cheers,

Ryan (ryan@mxlocker.com)

Ryan, What is the current % fee for selling on MXLocker? How does it compare to PayPal G+S fees or eBay fees?

Quick question,  if I am a private seller, off loading used stuff that I bought new and paid sales tax on, do I still have to pay another round of sales tax when selling through mx locker?

I know as a buyer there is no tax charges on mxlocker, the seller shouldn’t pay tax on any selling site. Now you may get taxed for the income with the new laws, but not just to sell.

Guess I was lucky then. At least 5 purchases with zero issues. Never sold anything on site. Only great purchases.

I would suggest some sort of email reminder for sellers when they get a question or to mark items sold. I’ve tried to contact 3 or 4 guys about bikes they are selling, and never received one reply. It gets frustrating.

For a bike do you just pay a straight listing fee regardless of if it sells?
