What’s the deck height? Also how do you replate a sleeved cylinder? Is the head a available to beable to have the correct squish band and run the proper fuel?
Not sure how you replate a sleeved cylinder you would have to ask the platers that ? Lol but they did it and it looks great , i will get more measurements when i get to work .....no head available so i would asume start with a stock head and mill it you your specs and fuel desired. ...any knowledgeable engine builder will be able to figure out what to do ....i am not an engine thats why i gave the motor to my buddy and had him hold my hand through the rebuild and had him send it out and spec out for proper piston clearance. ...
Piston to cylinder clearance is .002" deck height i will measure when i get calipers in my hands
You're right, it is. They're on about replating one that has been Nikasil plated already. It wouldn't be easy as the old plating is stripped in an acid bath, which isn't great for the sleeve. For example Langcourt will happily plate a sleeved cylinder but they won't replate it. http://www.langcourt.com/page8.html
