I have had a ton of injuries in the last year and all my riding buddies want to either race or ride mtb.. Neither of which i should do.. I spent 8 months going nuts on it when i was recovering from reconstruction on both knees.. Thinking of going to a 125 or 250f to keep me from jumping.. If you have more questions about bike let me know. It is set up and pretty awesome.. Thanks jon

Nice bike! However, I'm going to share with you my findings while applying your 125/250 thoughts. I've done it. The slower bike will NOT have you jumping less. It'll have you trying extra hard to get over something you'd normally hit easy on a 450. Less margin for error on a little bike imo.. good luck selling, but you'll regret it! Lol

I will concur with Meister on the lumping less comment, you won’t jump less but struggle to try jumps that are no issue on the 450. But I think that you will not regret going 450 to 125 unless you are a serious racer as they are a blast and keep you on your toes. Good luck selling the 450 as I had 2015 RMZ450 and had to basically give it away.

WFO on the 125 & enjoy!

Another guy here that has gone thru this....
I currently have an RMZ 450, RM 250 and a KTM SX 150 that I ride tracks with. I have a couple of off road bikes as well, but my favorite bike to ride is my 150. It can get over every jump that my 450 does, but like it's already been said, you have to ride it harder to get over some of them.

Honestly, if I didn't have so much money into my 450, I'd probably sell it. But the resell on the RMZ 450's is not great. It makes no sense, they are GREAT bikes and I love mine. But I've been having so much fun on the 2-strokes, I find myself not riding it much anymore.
