This should also work with the previous generation YZ250F. I have a 16-17 YZ450F Vortex on my 2017 YZ250F, but it is re-mapped for my bike. I'm assuming the base Vortex maps are different between the bikes, but any tuner should be able to load the original Vortex YZ250F maps or add their own.

Correct! I originally had this on a 2015 Yz250f, but had it remapped for a 2016 yz450f.
