I have this bike on eBay but I am willing to pull it down for a reasonable offer

Up for sale is a 2015 CR500AF. This AF started out as a 2015 CRF250R then was professionally modified to utilize this beautiful 1998 CR500R Engine. This bike is as close to a new bike as possible. This 98 CR500 engine has 0 hours of use since its complete rebuild, Using Wiseco engine parts (89mm Piston). Wheels, Tires, and Exhaust system are NEW as well. Suspension has fresh oil and seals, All chassis bearings were either replaced or serviced.

I have many photos of the build process i'd be happy to share with you, e-mail or call me for more photos.

Fabrication done by hrtfab.com

100 hours went into modifying this chassis, the biggest and most challenging modification was the one off sand cast "Y" portion of the frame that had to be altered to fit the exhaust port on the CR engine. This "Y" portion of the frame is a hollow casting that utilizes a self hardening 713 alloy this exceeds manufacture spec. This AF has engine mounts, exhaust mounts, ignition coil mounts, ECU holder, FMF Muffler, Radiators, and Fuel pump block off plate are unique to this bike and cannot be ordered over a parts counter. We do have templates for all custom parts off this bike and we can reproduce them for a fee if needed down the road. This was built to be the best MX weapon possible with a 500cc 2-stroke power plant.

I can assist with logistics for shipping(crate if necessary), however shipping will be for the buyers responsibility.

Please call me at 541-619-8994 if you have any questions.

I will say the sand cast parts I saw on HRTs website was cool. Nice bike and priced well all things considered.
Something tells me you have never made a one off hallow sand casting before. Yes I know all about http://www.conversionparts500.com/ in my opinion there design is not up to spec + they don't make conversion parts for the 2015 CRF250R or CRF450R chassis. Most of the time was spent building molds and re pouring aluminum until the outcome was to our liking. Now that molds have been made the second one will be plug and play! I'd love to see the bike you can build in 5 hours....

Fair enough including the time spent in developing the Y-piece. With the part in hand, it shouldn't take more than 5 hours to take the stripped chassis from being setup for a 450 to being setup for a CR500AF now that the dev work has been done.

Cut frame you out, trim lower engine brackets off, notch for Clutch bolt, install engive, weld Y section in, weld in lower engine tabs, weld in head stay, trim unnecessary tabs, weld mount in for exhaust, done. If you can't do that in 5 hours you suck as a fabricator.

This is assuming the parts are manufactured and sitting in front of you. I'm a mechanical engineer who works in a manufacturing environment. If our technicians couldn't perform that amount of work in 5 hours, there are issues with either the processes or performance issues.
