putting 2018 engine in my 2014 suzuki will ECU work or would have to get ECU for 2018 engine or re map the one i have

Pretty sure you will need an ‘18 ECU or an aftermarket one for the ‘18 engine.

have you done one ? or know someone who has , i can't remap the one i have i am not installing holeshot device

the engines very similar to 2014 not much work bolts in place i may have to change ECU i got this 2018 $1400. 0 hrs on it ,.. it makes sense to change it , 2014 in it has over 100 hrs runs good still i change piston at 50 hrs but i like the bike i am comfortable on it suspension set up well have ride engineer clamps and link made the suz work well so that why i do not want to change the bike that still in great shape , and set up for me

Nope, haven’t done one. If it was me, I’d get the correct parts and not worry about it. Clearly you are looking for someone to tell you it’s plug and play. It might be, might not. They have different pant numbers, so something is different? Could just be the mapping. Try it.

the main ECU numbers the same the last half is not it may be the difference is the hole shot device ,,,they say t hey added more storage and memory whatever that means ,,i will try it and see
