Good info here as I’m doing the 22mm triple clamps conversion as well. Thought the 250f/450f would slide right into my YZ250 frame but was ~ 5mm too short & will need to press out stem. Do you press it out from the bottom or the top ?
You press it out from the top. It's going to take quite a press, a simple arbor press probably won't do it. We use a hydraulic press, and you have to make sure it's well supported near the stem or you'll ruin the clamp. The OEM Yamaha press fit is absurdly tight, so be careful.

The 450 is 5mm longer. I've measured all 3 bikes side by side and it's nothing noticeable.
Keep in mind that the only way you can take advantage of the 5mm of length is if you keep your chain pulled all the way out. Which is impossible to do without changing your chain every ride.
So really 250 or 450 will give you the same result. And for some reason there are more 250 swingarm as for sale tha 450.

So if you set the clamp in a press like it looks when mounted on a bike you press it out from the top where the threads are down through the bottom correct?

Yes, like this:

Note the aluminum chunk supporting the clamp near the stem (it has a hole in it for the stem the fall through). This is really important, do not support it by the outer tube clamps!
