I ordered a Guts gripper seat cover and a firm seat foam! A firmer seat is a must have on the 18 Yamaha. The 19 is a bit firmer than the 18 but not enough according to Keefer so i went with the Guts seat foam that should be nice and firm.

So is anyone else running the latest TP 2.0 map?

Ran it last weekend and really liked it.

How did you find their seat cover? I recovered a seat for friend with Guts racing seat cover and Honestly I would compare it with the most basic cheap seat cover i have ever seen. Super soft and rubbery, my air stapler blew straight through it, turned the air right down to the point where it would just push a staple through the seat base and it would still cut the seat cover,i have hand staplers that are stronger and would destroy it. Took a lot of time and patience to get looking half decent and even then i hated how it came out and I'm no rookie with a seat cover.

It is not going to blow up a hard pack track. It is mostly hardpack here too. Give us a review when you get a chance to try it.

Also give Linear TRQ(Hard Pack) map a go. I had used that a lot until swapping to this new map.

A small update. I didn't get the seat foam in time for my trip to Spain late 2018 so i got it installed yesterday and rode with it the first time today. It is probably the biggest upgrade that i have made on the Yamaha. Night and day different compared to the horrible stock foam. The velcro grippier seat cover was also a nice addition compared to the stock cover.

I also scored a great deal on an almost new Öhlins Flow shock (4 hours on it) that i got to try for the first time. I can't say much about it since i have to only ride in the woods with spiked (heavy) tires for a few months = the bike behaves completely different to with normal dirt tires. I haven't had any problems with the stock KYB shock, i just got such a good deal on the Öhlins shock that i could not turn it down. After all, it's fun to try different parts and i have never had any experience with Öhlins.

That is interesting because i have noticed the same issue but with the stop button. Sometimes i have to press it 2 or 3 times to get the engine to shut down.

Edit: It was just a lot of dirt in the button, that fixed it.

Hehe, it's hard to turn down suspension like that if you get a good offer. Especially considering how good it looks....Blush

Curious to hear what you think about it when the spring arrives!

Yeah i'll write about it when i get to ride on dirt and have everything set up for me! It came with a 56 spring and that is way too stiff so i already ordered a 52. Exciting times ahead! Cool
