Ok so we got a 16 125,which i bought from multi time british enduro champion paul "fast eddy" edmonson's shop......the bike was prepped ready to race, but the kid who owned it previously, had a ride on a kxf 250,loved it (defected to 4 a smoke) and part exchangedi it for a new kxf in paul's shop straight away....

she came well maintained with a few nice part's such as a brand new sm pro platinum wheelset (black billet hub's/gold rims) with new tyres, used once unmarked hgs pipe and silencer, vforce, twinwall's,renthal rear sprock and new chain, new piston, brake pads, original plastic and graphics, seat cover still in very good condition etc....

Been buying parts for a few years now,so got a shitload of goody's already for this one and hopefully you guy's will like it......i think you probably will WinkSmile

Started teardown and found that the filler side rad is slightly bent in toward the frame but not really a problem....can tell the bike has been ridden in sand.......can hear it crunching in the kickstart mechanism when i pull it sideway's to start her up......gonna get her to down the bareframe and start cleaning everything with wd40/00 fine wire wool/wd40 wet and dry paper and elbow grease.....

Great score on a very nice bike Mr. Smez. Your other two YZ's are top shelf, so I'm definitely interested to see whatcha got going on with this one.

Ok got her down to the frame now and just a bit of sand/grease but nothing too bad.just a case of cleaning/semi polishing/replacing everything that's needed (nut's bolts washers etc) on the bike.I don't have a buffer or a media blaster so I do it all by hand for that personal touch.....it will be done with wire wool/wd40/wet and dry paper/autosol paste and an old T-shirt.....that's it....
Just fyi....i've never claimed to be an ace mechanic....i just do this for a bit of fun so i hope you guys enjoy it too...
-Found a good use for one of the grips that came off it SmileSilly

Then the autosol paste and an old t shirt.......gives a nice polish finish but not mirror polished by any means.....removes tarnish very well......
took some pics inside and outside to see how it looks in the different light......

Hgs pipe cleaned up nicely with the wire wool and a bit of autosol.....and is as new/unmarked......thing is i already bought a pc pipe/silencer combo for the build quite a while back.....i also already have a scalvini pipe and bud carbon muffler on the other 125,but it does'nt fit very well at the rear end........the mount near the kickstart does'nt line up (see pic) and it also contact's the airbox........it would'nt line up at the silencer frame mount at all without the unique double swivel mounting bracket on the bud silencer which allows quite a bit of adjustment.........anyway's At least i'll have a decent pipe for both bikes now Cool

Got all the linkage and pivot bearings greased up nicely, and i'll torque all the bolts down as per the manual specs...also used a 50/50 mix of grease and copperslip on the dreaded swingarm pivot bolt and lower motor mount bolts....

So i ordered an 06 and upwards billet rear brake caliper guard from fastec racing (at a cost of £50) who quickly sent me the wrong one (which was for 05 and back model) when i informed them they said it was no problem then sent me the correct 06+ Unit free of charge..........the first one they sent really came in handy as it was about the only trick piece/bit i had'nt put on my 2003 yz250 build (see pic).....so a good result all round.....

Love this build! I used to race against Paul’s boys before they were old enough to do enduro. Where did you get the ‘rainbow’ coloured bolts and nuts from?
