Hi all,
Im trying to reduce weight on my 450 husky 2022.

First of all i Will prioritize the rotation/undprung weight.

I need som help with the parts.

I already bought the schwalbe fat bike tubes which safe a lot of weight.

Next one it to buy hoosier tyres, as they are the lightest tyres as i Can see ?

I also bought titanium bolt for sprocket and rotors.

What Else is good money to spend $ on to reduce weight ? Im not sure if the rim lock on husky are the alloy one or the oem is as light as motionpro ?

Have anyone weighted the rear sprocket and Can tell which one is lighter than Stock ? And also the rotors? I Can see that motostuff should be 25% lighter on the back rotor - any Experience with that?

I Will also use money on the sprung weight if i Can gain a Big saving for small $. Dont Think Technology exits anymore ?

Seat foam seems like a good place to lose some weight. You can definitely save a good amount of weight with a good Ti exhaust system.

Our old saying with stock cars was “When you chase the ounces, the pounds will come.”

I remember reading somewhere that you can’t buy the header separate from Akra. I could be wrong on that but I swear I’ve heard it multiple times.

No idea if Think! Is still around, but Guts has lightweight foam. Same seat/cover used on the Rockstar Husky’s.

I don’t know what tires you are running but Pirellis are way lighter then a Dunlop. Like a pound a tire. So that can be an easy affordable weight savings. If you want to see all the ins and outs. Look at @hard_enduro_life on Instagram. He did a lightweight ktm 150xcw. And breaks down all the weight savings he did. Very informative.

Not sure on the weight of the new Protaper ACF bar, but I imagine they’re similar. Highest place on the bike is a great place to save weight.

I didn’t see the spokes either. I don’t think he’s making them any longer.

I posted a bunch of weights my yz250 build thread that may help. Titanium bolts, spokes, bars, foam, tires, etc. It’s still a work in progress but if there are any specific questions I can help with feel to shoot me a PM.

I did ti everything on my '22 FC450 in the build thread here:

https://www.vitalmx.com/forums/Bike-Builds,46/2022-Husqvarna-FC450-Drea…

The bike weighs about 3lbs lighter than stock, which would've been closer to 7 or 8 if I didn't do the KYB spring forks, x-trig clamps, skid plate, twin walls, etc. It's still REALLY light compared to the last 450 I had (09 CRF). Hope this helps.

how is the forks compared to air ?

i can see that you're running CRM engine mounts. how mutch do you tighten them ?

The KYB spring forks are way better than the stock air forks, though I'm sure a tuner could get them setup properly for a fraction of the cost.

The CRM mounts come with torque specs, but I don't remember them off hand.
