Anyone do one on a KX450? Got a '14 and read where the 2012 KYB units are good to replace the SFF with. Was looking at a Yamaha fork to use as well. Any "constructive" input is welcome.

2014 KX450 should have PSF KYB forks, not showa SFF TAC air forks.

The PSF KYB forks were decent... nothing like the setup challenge of the SFF TAC. But yes, 2012 Era spring forks from kx450 would work.

Thank you for the correction. Not real great with the alphabet designations on the later model suff.
I ended up with the bike and I'm deciding which way to go. Regardless, I've got to freshen up the forks but was looking to possibly change them entirely to an easier set for me to service.
Thanks again 👍

2013-14 PSF1 forks were actually quite good. The 15-18 SFF can be a real nightmare.

If you do end up deciding to switch to the old spring fork (08-12 is direct fit), I would be interested in buying your forks.

Thanks for the offer ... so I'm going to get them refreshed(couple of weeks) skf seals and new bushings then try it. I'll let you know my impression, I'm old and slow so there's that...
