Hello, I am planning on putting a new crank in my 2013 yz250 as I am doing a complete rebuild. Top and bottom end.
I was planning on sending to crank works and it would be 75$ for pro x rod and 95$ labor, plus shipping.
I can buy a new OEM CRANK from Rocky Mountain for 286$.
Is there any Benifit from crank works? I feel like having it rebuilt will only save 40$ after shipping.

If you can save only $40 by rebuilding it, I'd buy new and try to sell the old one on eBay. People always look for OEM cranks, even if they need a rebuild.
If it can't be fixed with a hammer, it's an electrical problem.

Are you sure you need a crank? You can take it to a competent shop and have it checked. All you are looking for is clearance of the rod to crank half and up and down play. Any idea of hours on it? I would rebuild if the crank isn't stuck or bearings aren't blown out in it. If you are in a hurry, buy one.

I ended up buying one as I got one from RMATV in 2 days with the rest of my order. I’m positive the crank would be good forever but I decided while it was apart I would replace it.
