Hi! Bought my `96 Kawasaki in June 1998 as old stock. I raced it for many years and of course, it ended up beeing pretty in the corner of the garage. Some times I rode it in the yard and even made a burnout at the city hall at my friends wedding.

The Kawi Always screamed sharp, nice and loud. Smile

Last year I was wondering If the old Kawi could shine and scream again top fit.

Soo... it took some time, but it was really fun to do!

Back in the days:
1998

later:

Before dismanteling:

Removing a rear tyre:

Hubs:

New plated bolts, nuts ans axels:

New bearings in the swingam and link.

The old spokes and rims were gray and ugly, sooo… (btw JDG didn`t rode the gold excels, I just liked them)

Keeping it cool, the old ones were done:

Professionaly painted frame: flo green:

With swingarm and rebuilded fork & shock by BG racing:

Flo Green plastics are not easy to find, in the end I got a new set, and new tecnosel tank schroud stickerset.

The engine rebuild: new piston, Boyesen reedvalves, Boyesen factory engine covers, gold/yellow plated bolts, VHM head.

Begins to look good:

The latest developments are not yet on pictures YET.
