#KtX500e #Kawakaze This was one crazy build. It would never have happened without the whole KX Guru Racing crew.... There is so much more to say but wait till the article comes out in #motocrossactionmagazine

No idea... But with the estart and supporting hardware I'd guess a piggish 240 or so.
I will get to weighing it eventually..

Not only was the bike looking good but the real surprise was the power..
Pulls amazing linear power from 2200rpm to 9200 rpm with a ton of torque.
Or was it a surprise???

MOTOCROSS ACTION MID-WEEK REPORT 11-13-19
WHAT THE MXA WRECKING CREW IS UP TO
Is had been a long time in the works but MXA, MRE and KX Guru Racing finally came together for the ultimate 500cc shootout. Both bikes have 2016 KTM 250SXF chassis’ with the red bike having a CR500 engine and the green bike a KX500 engine. Both these bikes are anything but stock. We are doing a full shootout in the February issue of MXA.

We called this bike a KTX500e. Yes the “e” stands for electric start.

And we called MRE’s build the KTR500. Ain’t she pretty.

Josh Mosiman started as the KTX500e tester.

While Ezra Lewis rode the KTR500.

When Jason Tanner and I built our first induction crank engine Steve Parris told me that it gave better top end lubrication and cooling. This is what the piston looks like with 30 hours of Pro level riding on it.

But what do the skirts look like? That is a big piston!

The skirts looked very good.
I'll see if I can get a few pics when I get that piston back in my hands.
The most impressive is the burn pattern on the top of the piston...

She turned out great! 70+ hp is a BEAST!
Do you or (anyone really) have some dyno numbers on turbo cranks?

Yes we do have numbers.
Now that the build off is over we are working on a event that should pretty much end the controversy on Induction Crank Technology.

Just remember, the earth is no longer flat Laughing

Right now I have 6 Induction Crank engines out there.
The 16 KTM 300 is almost ready for some initial dyno time.
The 98 kx250 now has a new top end and is also ready for further dyno time.
There are many people that now know that the tech works, as it has been rode and dyno tested.
The only questions for me now are..
How far can the tech be pushed?
How much bang for the buck does it give?
What are all the advantages vs disadvantages that it offers?
Port timing, compression ratio, and fuel requirements are all critical to each specific engine and it takes time to weed through the set ups.
My time and budget is limited but I am pushing through each engine as I can.

One year update.
Most of these Magazine bikes do very little or any racing after the articles are done.
The competing bike to ours was stripped and sold off engine separate from the chassis.
I get it but that is not why I built mine.
I planned to take the bike and ride it.
It was sitting in my garage with a blanket over it when Pro rider Arik Swan happened by,
He pulled the cover off it and asked if he could race it Dry
#Arikswan has been riding and racing this bike after his two year recovery.
Arik and I have made many improvements.
After watching Arik race the bike at Glen Helen I realized that a few changes needed to be made.
The latest is a new top end with even more bottom to mid range without loosing any top end Cool
According to Arik, he says it handles as good as any bike he has ever ridden on the ground and in the air.
Power is another thing.
It is a beast..
With the latest changes to the engine I'm sure it will have everything he needs and perhaps just a bit more.
Hoping for a productive race season. Cool

I still have it.
When dealing with Pro level riders you soon learn that they have relationships with many different sponsors.
As it turns out Arik's suspension guy does not typically work on Ohlins.
As that is the case it made sense to get some suspension that he works on all the time.
This suspension is off a 2019 KTM 450 SXF that has been set up for Arik.
He really likes it.

If you want the Ohlins suspension off this bike I would consider letting it go.

ahh yes I guess that makes sense, no point in reinventing the wheel especially if the wheel is really good to start with.
