I've done a couple, took a stock ttr 125, fitted yz85 kit forks, rear shock, big bore 150, stroked, ported and polished head, cam, valves, gusseted frame, frame cradle and bigger carb. Im planning on putting a yz85 rear end on but it works well already. I also did a pitster pro 140 and made it a 185 with a bunch of small other mods, You can do alot of stuff for fair cheap.

My son had a crf50, as he grew we modded the bike, fast 50s clamp and bars, billet throttle and front brake, stiffer fork springs, better rear shock, bills pipe, black plastics with bud racing Rockstar graphics, taller seat... It was an awesome little bike, we owned it for 5-6 years and when I sold it I got just over what I paid for it.... With Christmas coming folks, if your thinking first bike time, you can’t go wrong with the baby CRF....

Bought myself a brand new CRF50 back in 2005 to mess round with at my folks place for the days when I couldn't take the 125 out!

Haven't done any motor work besides upgrading the air filter (I wanted to keep the motor as standard as possible - isn't that the fun of a fiddy?), but chucked some Red Baron forks and rear shock on, upgraded the swingarm, bars, footpegs, skid plate, and an FMF pipe on it... Think that's it.... I don't use it all that much anymore as my dad used to get a bit annoyed with me tearing up his garden, so it only ever makes an appearance in the summer:

Forks are super easy, used 85 clamps, and brake. You can use the ttr wheel and axle. Rear shock has alot more work, you have to loose the air filter or turn the shock around and make a linkage set up, I went with the whole rear end off the 85 so i got disc brakes. Rather ride that bike then my 450
