Hello everyone,
Here is my latest addition to my collection: a HONDA QR 50 from 1991.
I bought it for 500 €. It is in very good condition and almost complete.
The goal is to restore it with OEM parts as it left the Honda factory.
Once completed, it will take place in my living room decoration. I've tried it before and it's pretty cool.

Cleaning the carburetor and reassembly with the HONDA seal kit
Bridgestone M29 tires
(Photos include new parts and others cleaned and restored)
I also cleaned and repainted the muffler. The rear shock has just been cleaned and will stay that way
Cleaning of many parts of the bike
Installation of the white plate background as well as the original Honda "UNLEADED FUEL ONLY" label
The Shop
I have a question: this motorcycle was not sold in the USA?
We never see this QR 50 on vital Mx.
I sanded both guards and applied high temperature exhaust paint.
I installed the new seat cover.
At the end of the week I collect the frame and the fork shells from the painter.
Complete reconstruction of the fork with new original parts.
I put the foot pegs with new axes.
New rear brake linings.
Cleaning the oil pump too.
New ignition cover.
I finished shining the aluminum of the motor
Oh, and the bike looks fantastic. What I have come to expect from you.
Thanks for sharing.
The exhaust is also finish.
And i have installed the carburetor.
Same paint treatment for the cover and the stand.
New oil caps too
Pit Row
Hoping to do the same with my daughters 1993 QR50.
Would love to know the parts availability for these bikes elsewhere in the world as it seems quite limited here in Australia.
Also interested in the gold plating on wheels, seems to be more durable than paint, how do you intend to restore this?
Thanks Cam
for the gold rims, I found the original Honda color code and ordered the paint. I'll have them painted next week.
I pasted all the original stickers and put the new seat cover with the right color!
Next step: back on wheels!!!!
