You need to post pics in the thread I think old dirt bikes are ugly because this bike is begging to differ! It looks amazing great job on the build.

You did a fantastic job on this bike. Bummer about the cone pipe, but I can’t say I haven’t done something similar before. Lol

It would only be fare to build up a George Holland #7 bike around that other pipe to go with Eric's #8 !!

That would be very nice. I've been watching Gary Bailey's videos he had taken and it showed both George and Eric doing battle with all the other Factory teams.

It blows my mind to think that a new yz or Ktm 125 has 20 more horsepower than that Suzuki ( I think dirt rider dynoed the 86 em at 21.3 hp)!I’ve always been a Suzuki fan and the 86 models were beautiful (I had an 86 250). There is some good torque in those engine if you adjust the power valve drum tension correctly as well. Better torque than stock I mean. Beautiful bike👍

Haha. It is crazy with how little hp that bike made. However I thought it was 27 hp lol. They sure are pretty though.

It was either 21 or 23 horsepower. I remember it made like .3 more horsepower than the 1985 rm125-which made 21.3😁meanwhile they kicked butt on the mx circuit and if the cr125 has not been so freaking good those years Suzuki would have had a bunch of 125 championships.

Also: you’ll hear a million people tell you that the power valve design of that year sucked, but it really is noticible and effective at adding a bit of torque. I found on the 250 and the quad racer 250 that if I adjusted spring tension at the knob fir 1 2/3 of a turn counter to the opening rotation of the drum, it keeps the drum open longer and will absolutely increase torque. It’s very noticible on quadracers especially and makes that engine feel torquey as hell.

That is fantastic information I appreciate it. I will have to give that a try.
