I would love to build a 2002 KTM 380SX engine into a new 250SX chassis. I looked on the internet and haven't seen any. Anyone built one?

Check on KTMtalk, I remember a couple threads from several years back. Don't know if it'd be applicable to today's frames, but it would be a starting place.

If you go to dirt bike magazine, they did an article on my 380/250 chassis KTM. It's listed under Dungey Dragon. Super nice bike that you couldn't tell wasn't done at the factory.

I searched the MXA website and couldn't find it. Do you have an image you could post?

If you google Dungey Dragon or look on the Dirt Bike Magazine website , you can find it. I don'.t have any photos. I raced it at the 2stroke race a couple years ago and it is a very fun bike to ride.

I found it. Thank you. I had a 2002 380SX that I purchased new. Absolutely the most horrible suspension ever. I liked the motor. I would love to build a 380SX into a new 250SX chassis. That's one of the things I'm going to do right after I hit the Lotto.

I have a 2001 SX 380 and had a 2017 250 SX last year. I think you would have to do quite a lot of cutting and welding in order to make room for the engine in the frame of the latest generation of twostrokes. It would probably be easier to build one with the current 450 frame.

That is my nephew that I sold the bike to. He loves it! I believe the cradles are the only difference in the 4stroke to 2stroke frames. Mine had the whole front cradle from the head tube to foot pegs welded off the 380 frame.
