Really nice build, saw it in social scoop after Ping commented on it.

The upper fork legs, is that a cerakote finish?

Thank you. Yes it's a combination of different cerakote colors.

Thanks man. I got that guard from a guy that I follow on Instagram. I also think that there are some available on mastercross as well.

Awesome build - Can you recommend somewhere I can get front and rear hubs for the same bike? That’s all I have left to do is my wheels

@manbearpig.....let me just say....WOW! That bike is a thing of beauty!! Few bikes in my life invoke the feeling of adoration like a well done 92-96 CR250 does. Having owned a 93 CR250, I know without a doubt how good these bikes can be and I absolutely love seeing a proper rebuild like yours, I hope you treat yourself to a ride or 10 on it for sure. I feel like these bikes although old are still 100% capable of being ridden effectively on a modern motocross track. Aside from the suspension stock, the bike has little to no shortcomings on a modern mx track bec the tracks are si.ilar to what they were in the mid to late 90's

Thanks man! It sure was a lot of fun to build this old bike. I hope I dont let you down but they are the stock forks. Haha. I coated them and re sprung, gold valves and fresh parts. I will be riding this bike for sure but for now I found a nice spot for it to sit until I complete a couple more bikes.

Looks great.

It is an exceptionally clean bike you did. I looked at that outfit that sells the replica HRC stuff. If only they had a traditional website and listed the parts individually. I couldn’t find it.

Thank you for making the effort to share the process. Beautiful.

Congrats on making the bike of the day. And thank you for sharing the mixture on the Cerakote.

I raced a '92CR. Amazing motorcycle. Factory Connection had some magical numbers for the valving. That bike would do anything. Your build is really neat. Excellent details and choices. Thanks for sharing.

Oh, I just caught you are Throwbackmxguy. I checked out your Facebook offerings. Great job brother. You have inspired me to do more at least on Facebook with my restores.

Anyways you have a kick butt shop with some very nice equipment. Super clean. How the hell did you get the bike up there?

Raced one until the YZ400F came out. My frame was probably 2" longer than yours due to stretch. Such a great bike and the same as the 93 the JM raced.

Thanks! I installed hoist lift for the bikes on the wall. I'm beyond happy that my addiction has motivated you. Haha

Is that a stock tank? My tank isn’t white enough for my restore. Will a Clarke tank look good? I am hesitant to buy one only because I have never seen one up close on a bike. Any info will help. Thanks

My bike actually has a Clarke tank. My stock one wasn't bad and I worked on it for hours on end but it was just off color enough for me to buy a Clarke.

Thanks for your reply. I was concerned about the Clarke tanks being 3.1G also, but but yours looks great. Looks like you just cost me $250... lol. Very Nice job on the build by the way. I love to see builds where attention to detail is a priority. I built an 87’ and documented here on Vitalmx. Hopefully I’ll finish the 93’ soon. Thanks again

Nice work on your steeds! Yes the clark has an oversized option and a stock option. Have fun with your 93!
