98 PC CARMICHAEL BUILD

6/19/2020 1:32am
Been away since I’ve posted anything.
Got my rear shock rebuilt by the boys at Krooztune,
New spring, genuine bump stop, seals and even re-plated the collars. Turned out like new.

Also replaced all the rear sus/linkage hardware with genuine parts, polished the rear knuckle again with new seals and bearings, chucked the PC dog bones and mounted the cycra front plate with the flo front guard

How come you´re using a sealed crank bearing?

The patience you have to do a build taking 4 years blows my mind. I couldn’t do it.

Bike looks awesome though, can’t wait to see it finished!

Does any have a translucent brake line guide or point me in the direction of one?

Nice. I had a custom built 97 kx125 pipe. I found it after the Millville race. It was flattened I had the pipe repaired and sold it for 100 bucks to a club member. I hv a vented kx front plate similar to yours still in the package. They sent me the wrong plate. Your KX125 Looks great

Did you ever find the seat cover?
7/18/2022 2:31am
Been a bit since the update, ended up getting the bike running, found out that I installed the clutch side crank seal backwards after much investigation. Replaced it with an OEM seal. Also added twinwalls with a solid top bar mount for a little more “factory look” ,
Rental sprockets and gold “XU” RK chain, new chain guide insert and hardware and I decided to gold heat wrap the tank.
Found out that Throttle jockey can make a seat cover to order, pretty close to the original
Pretty close to riding, sounds like I need to tune the carb a little more

Really enjoying this build, hope we get an update soon dude.

98 was my first year as a support rider with PC, that bike was a bit underwhelming until they tricked everything out then it was a firebreather. I really loved how those graphics sparkled in the sun with the silver flakes. Hard to pick the best looking ones between 98, 99, and 00. After they ditched the spark plug on the shroud in 01 they started to look real bland.
