Well here I go with the latest build that I am finally fully focusing on and will see it to completion hopefully over the next month or so. The 92 RM's were the first bikes that I actually bought on my own with the help of my girlfriend (now my wife) so these are pretty special in my eye. I looked up to Swink as we were coming up and the US Factory RM's were kick ass from my perspective so now it is time to pay a little tribute to Swink and the 92 RM-250... Hope you enjoy the build along the way!

A bit of sweat went into cleaning up the swingarm yesterday, looking good so far. Some new parts mounted and ready for the new bearings.

Grinding, filing, sanding, cleaning and some Cerakoting to get these parts a touch of "Factory"!

Removed the casting marks from all of the parts that I am coating but it was not an easy process

Who did you use to source all the genuine RM parts?

Looking to replace a load of parts of my 89 RM250

Very nice work so far, going to be one hell of a bike when its done!

The cerakote parts look great...are you doing them? The gold rims look good on the Suzukis...give yourself some time to get the jetting dialed in.... I set mine to stock at first, but both Pro Circuit & FMF suggested leaning the needle clip to the 2nd position....That helped clean up the lazy low end transition on this bike...

I have used Babbitt’s Online for most of my parts, plus Chaparral Motorsports and eBay for a few misc parts.

Matthamz2 & Sandman768 - I used a local firearms shop in Valencia CA named “Cobra Tactical” who does fantastic work. If you need this done reach out to Kim and let them know that Nick sent you as they are willing to provide deals on the more work that is sent their way. I have two other bikes worth of parts that are heading there this week. They also offer tons of different colors and texture options.

Didn't realize those were your parts that they were working on. Kim and Eric are awesome and do great cerakote work.

Hi
Sweet build. Did you get your 92 RM125 pipe from DRP in Italy or DPR in the Netherlands? Two very similar names that both produce handmade 2 stroke pipes haha.
cheers

Life, work, time and parts...
I am a week from receiving my aluminum tank for the bike as the three OEM tanks that I had found previously were NG for restore. I am going with an aluminum tank from overseas and will have it painted to match.

Here is a sneak preview of the pipe and motor.

The pipes are actually from DPR in the Netherlands. I bought one for the (92) RM-125 & RM-250 but the 250 pipe was incorrect and not for a (92).

Any idea what that is inside the gas tank? I have a TY350 that the tanks are known to crack on and you can not buy a tank for them and trying to find a way to seal it from the inside.
