Picked up a new KTM 350 XCF back in November (got tired of waiting for a YZ250FX). Ive already started the build, which will be nothing too fancy, but Ill get some photos posted up. I race offroad but do hit the MX track on occasion to mix it up. My intention will be protection first and maybe some performance later.

On the list (most of which are already installed)
BPD Rad guards
BPD Shark Fin
BPD chain guide guard
TM Designs Chain guide
Bibs/Kenda Tires
Mika YZ High bars
Acerbis fork lug guards
Mako 360 bar mount
AXP Hard Enduro 8m skid plate
Ordered - Acerbis Frame guards
Ordered - Dirt Tricks cam chain tensioner
Ordered - SX filter cage

Nice! I’ve thought about a 350xc, but haven’t had good luck with Ktm’s, last one I had was a 2015 300xc, nothing bad, and I enjoyed riding them, but could never get comfortable trying to go fast,

How are the flame outs? I'm picking mine up tomorrow and I'm hoping that the flame out issues from the past are solved. All my friends with 350s say it's a completely different bike than from just a few years ago.

So I have had some issues however I am coming of several years of YZ250s with Rekluse auto clutches. Ive noticed that if I do not use the clutch its fine but if I clutch in a corner it does flame out occasionally

Fwiw the 2017+ off road bikes are completely different from anything Austria produced prior. I found their previous bikes, especially the 300, to be really oriented toward slow trail riding and I just never felt good on them. Handling was weird, motors vibrated like crazy, wouldn’t rev, and had super narrow power because of it. Worked ok if you wanted to casually lug it around but pretty bad if you really wanted to jam. I stuck to Japanese 250MX bikes with a few mods instead. The new chassis, motor, transmission and suspension in 2017 was a huge step forward and feels like a bike that’s 20yrs newer. They handle, the suspension works at speed, and with a few basic mods even the 300s will rev out and pull up top like a 250mx bike.

So I put on the Guts Wing seat cover and after a few rides I did not like it. In the woods it was not bad, on a MX track I could not move at all. So I put the stocker back on.

Ended up putting gray Acerbis plastics on it to match my graphics, everything fit up nice except the fork guards which hit the tire at first. I had to heat them up and re train them, now they are fine.

I did go through a set of front wheel bearings at a race last weekend. Only 25hrs on them. I hear KTMs are bad about that.

What Kendas do you run and how do you like them?
Typically run the Washougal II tires but they were out of stock on the fronts last time I ordered so I went with the Triple. Had one race on them in West Texas and they did really well but they are a more hard pack tire than the Washougal.
