He’s faster. Fun times though.

How did you like the 110/90 tire? I just put a 110 MX33 on and the total diameter difference is 1 inch taller than the 100 Bridgestone. That's gonna gear it a bit taller plus you put the 49t on. I bought a 49t to try also since the engine is plenty strong enough to pull it, but not sure if both changes may be too much. I like the idea of a longer winded 2nd gear or maybe put a 51t on and use 3rd gear mostly.

I don't get to test it out until Friday and would appreciate some feedback
So the Bridgestone ya tiny 100 series tire. The bike pulls the 110 no problem on the 2.15 rim I had it on, which makes it a bit smaller in height. I agree with your thoughts on gearing. Right now I’m experimenting with bouncing the bike off the rev limiter, it’s slower by the way. On a faster track the 49t and 110 combo was excellent. I am running the stock gearing and Dunlop 100 mx33 on the stock 1.85 rim for the shorter tracks I’m riding at the moment. I’m also gonna run it in it’s mid-range power, which means using 3rd gear a lot.

I almost bought a 2.15 rim to lace up since it would keep the 110 at it's designed profile but both Kris Keefer and Michael Lindsey run 110s on the 1.85 with no issues. Also, I agree with your idea of using the motor's awesome midrange most of the time instead of being on the revlimiter. The kids ride that way but it's slower and harder on the motor, plus I feel like the suspension works better at 9000 rpm than 14,000.

30 hrs now. Latest addition: Hinson clutch- this is a most definite must have, shifts like butter and hook up improved. Opened up the airbox cover- engine pulls longer and harder, finally equal to my 2017 fc250f. Suspension settings- both front and rear are better with time, running stock rebound settings on both ends, compression front 8 clicks out and 8 clicks out rear, rider sag at 105mm- took mid stroke harshness out of the front. Neken air/spring set at 130psi.

Still fiddling. Threw a gytr powercore slip-on on it, some Protaper Fuzion and new Emig grips.

Best to compare with the preloaded hard hitting map. Yamaha Connected response keeps the useable bottom hit of the hard hitting map and gives some top end vs Keefer’s map which blows thru the bottom end fairly quickly and is more responsive mid to top.

Once I added more airflow by cutting open the airbox lid and adding a powercore slip-on; I liked the keefer map better than the three, whereas before it was my least favorite. However, now as I am getting better, the power increase has really made the stiffness of the chassis more apparent. So I’m softening the engine hangers to get more feel on turn in. Testing it this weekend.
