Just received the first bit of Ti today....things are looking good
Where did you get the ti bolts? I want to order some for my FC250
Snuck out in the garage for a bit by myself...nap time inside is a good thing haha. Was able to get my new GUTS Racing Phantom seat foam installed along with the new GUTS seat cover. Really liking this combo!
Moto 120, are you an old BMX'er? I see the zeronine plate and the GT BMX banner...
Good eye
. Yeah, I grew up racing BMX...like a lot of kids I'm sure, it was all I knew growing up. Started racing at the local track when I was 3 years old (without training wheels of course....and long before Strider bike races haha) and continued on until I was 13, eventually just getting burned out. Some of my, if not THE, best child hood memories was traveling the country with my Dad chasing the elusive National points system (National #2 was my best year end ranking after a decent performance at The Grands in Louisville)...NBL that is. Could talk BMX for hours just like I could moto, raced everything from Elf cruisers to Powerlite's to Badd & Co's to etc. Then moved onto MX where I was able to hold my Pro MX License for a couple years and now moved onto cycling again, although this time it's road and MTB. 2-wheels are kind of a bit part of my life
How much did the bolts run ya? I want them but just can't pony up that kind of cash.

I am beginning to play with finding the right supplier for Ti bolts/products for my new company SLF Motion (Smoother Lighter Faster). So regarding cost, I'm really not sure as it is all business related. Right now I'm only producing/selling cycling products but plan to move into the moto sector given time...Ti and carbon fiber products being things that I personally just can't get enough of haha.
SO pumped on these parts I just received from Clayton Miller at Trick Engineering. Had them all Cerakote'd and had the rear master cylinder sight glass mod done as well.
As I have always done with every one of my Husqvarna's in the past, I am going to use a Cycralite front fender paired with a Cycra Stadium plate. Of course Cycra doesn't officially make these 2 parts for Husqvarna motorcycles BUT they do for KTM so..... These are the new 2016+ KTM SXF pieces FYI. Front fender is perfect as the vented part was already black which is awesome, clearances are all perfect and nothing hits. The stadium plate though is only offered as a white plate with orange pieces (as seen) or a black plate with black pieces SO now that I know everything fits perfectly, I will order the black plate with black pieces and swap out the orange pieces on the current plate....so the finished plate will be a white plate with black pieces

Love the new stadium plate and the KTM fender on it. Much cleaner looking. I'm definitely getting that new plate for my new FE because my clamps were rittled with roost marks from this season. I had 98 Ti bolts and Think seat foam, full Ti FMF system and Raptor Ti pegs on my 16 FE. That stuff was a little over 4lbs lighter than the stock parts which of course definitely wasn't noticeable at all and then of course factor in adding in a skid plate and medium duty tubes instead of the paper thin stockers and I'm probably right back at the bikes original weight... :-)
Got to sneak out into the garage for a bit over this long weekend. Not a ton of progress but a little bit...which is how this entire build is going to be haha.
Out with the old cap and in with the new
Going to need to shorten the new blue banjo bolt a bit, no big deal
Rebuilding the caliper and master cylinder using All Balls rebuild kits
Rear caliper carrier looking good!
For those curious, there are 2 seals that the piston "rides" on
Installing the piston back into the caliper
Before disassembling the rear wheel, I noticed a couple spokes just finger loose haha
Front brake lever...imagine that, more sand!
Colored hoses installed...of course haha
Wheels ready to tear apart
Front brake parts ground down to remove all casting marks and ready to send to Trick Engineering for some more coatings
A few more parts showed up. All new Polisport plastic (to go along with the Lightspeed carbon fork guards and Cycra front plate/fender), ODI bars with their TLD edition "no waffle" grips, another TM guide piece, and a set of Acerbis frame guards (just plain black and white). I contemplated going with the full carbon fiber frame guards that come all the way up to practically the side plate but I actually like the looks of the white frame so decided against them.
Love me a good carbon fiber radiator cap pair with a Mugen decal haha

Here is one of the products I have been most looking forward to receiving and using on this build....a full Titanium (w/ Carbon end cap) Yoshimura exhaust system. Besides the ridiculous craftsmanship put into these things, the dyno charts to prove their worth, and the weight savings...have you guys heard about their repair/refurb department?!?! The refurb program alone was worth a lot to me when deciding which exhaust to go with.

Also any interest in a near new, less than two hour 2016 KTM 450 FE exhaust?
I must have this for my 2017 CRF!
