Any body know the paint code for husky? Maybe a paint pen to touch up the frame would be an option....
I use this stuff. Very common at auto parts stores and it is a very close match.

I had bought that Acerbis skid plate for my 17 TC250, and was not crazy about how it mounted at all. The plastic is great quality for sure, but the mounting hardware is what I didn't like.

Paid a little more and went for the P3 Carbon Skid plate and bought their cool mounting bracket they have. -

THEN, I laid this down where the skidplate makes contact with the frame and it's been working very well.

Hey John, great talking to you earlier. I'm a big fan of the forks with the MX-Tech mods. I feel it takes an already awesome air fork, and perfects it. Looking forward to getting some more time on them and really dialing them in.

Haven't made any drastic changes this season. Been riding various tracks and trails all over the Midwest. Getting ready to move from Illinois to Florida in two months, so I am looking forward to riding year round.

I did however, change my suspension this past week. I had MX-Tech take out the A48-R setup, and I went with their Lucky System with the Huck valves and dual springs.I am very much enjoying this setup!!!

Couple updates. I added the Neken SFS air/spring top clamps, new plastics and graphics from DecalMX, and the new Dunlop MX33 tires. I am still running the MX12 for sand/mud, and then the MX33 for intermediate/hard pack on a separate rim.

How you liking the Lucky system? I have it, too. Don’t have a lot of time on it yet, though

Nice bike!
One thing you should try are the 2017/18 aluminium engine hangers! They make a big improvement in handling and feeling for the bike :-)

I love the Lucky system! Perfect for my setup, and I wouldn't change anything at this point. I rode a similar bike with Cone Valves, and honestly could not feel a difference between the CV's and my setup. And the Lucky system is quite a bit less money.

My suspension progression went as follows:

Stock 4CS
Stock AER48 off of a 2017 XC-F (no mid valve)
MX-Tech A48-R
MX-Tech Lucky System

The A48-R was a really nice mod. They took a really good air fork, and made it perfect. The only reasons why I switched to the Lucky system was I wanted a little more consistency in feel as I am used to spring forks, and it is one less thing to mess with when setting up the bike on a ride/race day. The funny thing about that is, I added the Neken air clamps, so I am still messing with air every ride, haha.

Thank you!

I am going to give those a try. Not bad for ~$75.

I tried them out this weekend, and they get my approval. Not a drastic change, but you can feel it nonetheless.

How do you like the rekluse, does it ever stall, I have the same one on my 16 350sxf and it will randomly stall about once or twice per ride curious if yours did the same thing

I really like the Rekluse. When I made the swap from the Core Exp to the Radius CX, I experienced the stalling issue on tight inside corners. I had to mess with the clutch slave cylinder to get the free play just right, but eventually it stopped. I had to adjust it a few times, as it almost had to settle in just right.

I wanted to post a follow-up. While out for surgery at the end of January, I took my bike down to TLR in Sebastian, Florida. The bike had 66hrs on it, and I felt it was time to open up the motor and check everything out, and freshen it up. In doing so, I decided to go with a Cylinder Works 366 big bore cylinder kit, along with a DCR intake cam, and then have Todd at TLR do his porting and valve job on the head. He then finished it off with a dyno tune and mapping the ECU for the mods and T4 fuel. The result was 61.5hp and 26.7tq. I rode it this Saturday at NFMX, and the bike just rips. It just keeps pulling and pulling. I am very happy with the result.

The dyno graph below shows the end result, and the lower numbers are with just his intake cam and everything else stock, so you can kind of have a reference on what this cam does with no other mods.

Decided to change it up a bit. New matte white graphics on Acerbis plastics, and a number change.

How did the change in clamps feel?

How much of a difference did the holes in the air box make?

The RE clamps made a ton of difference in the handling, especially on rough terrain, without sacrificing the comfort anywhere on the track. I was shocked that the comfort didn't go away, as I thought it would losing the air/spring assistance. I actually liked the Neken's on most parts of the track (except when they had a diving feeling, caused by too little air) but I also didn't want to keep messing with the air, and it was only the top clamp with the OEM bottoms. The RE's are both top and bottom. The RE clamps are all around better. I know some guys run slightly less torque specs to give it a little more flex, but I'm running exactly what RE recommended. I just mess with the fork clickers if needed.

The air holes made a bigger change in the low end power this time now that I have the big bore 366, than when I did it before with the stock motor. The right side subframe is drilled and cut to allow more air through as well, I just didn't drill the right side panel this time around. The power is just so awesome, all the way through the RPM range.

Thanks for sharing!

I have been teetering on what to do next with my '16.

Thinking it might be time for something new and is it worth upgrading my current bike or better to sell and spend the modification money on buying a new one. You're encouraging me to stick with my 16'.

How big of a change did you feel going from the 4CS to the AER 48? Cheers!
