This is nowhere near the level or as in-depth of what most other builds are on here, but I just thought I'd share my basic/budget-friendly winter re-build:

Bike 2010 KX450

- Complete top end rebuild (new piston, rings, gaskets, cylinder, valves, timing chain, valve seats cut, etc...)
- New Radiators
- Shock rebuild (by factory connection)
- Fork rebuild (by me)
- Hinson Clutch Pack (fibers/steels/springs)
- New Brake Pads
- Various Hammerhead Designs Hard Parts
- Flo Motosport Footpegs/sprockets
- New Levers/grips/handguards/chain guide/chain slider/skid plate/chain
- Exhaust Re-pack
- New Guts racing seat cover (love the Velcro system)
- New graphics by 180 decals
- Front fender/number plate updated to match '12-15 KX450 (in order to run cycra stadium plate)
- A number of other things/parts added that I am forgetting about at the moment

I really like them, especially for the price. I only ever had stock pegs before, but i much prefer them over stock.

The Guts VS cover feels secure? I need to order one of those for a carbon seat base and was curious.

Yes, so far it does. I only have one ride on it so far so I cant speak on longevity, but no issues at this point. I made sure to staple the Velcro pieces to the bottom of the seat base before putting the cover on. I figure if it ever appears that the Velcro is not wanting to hold, I can just staple the seat cover to the base, but I don't think it will be necessary.

Good God that bike is gorgeous... Nice job. Also what engine parts did you put in there? Valves, crank, piston high compression, etc?

Thank you, and nothing fancy or high compression in regards to the motor. Just a Wiseco/Cometic Piston/Gasket Kit, Cylinder Works Cylinder, oem cam/timing chain, and oem valves/valve springs. Kept it fairly simple and just wanted to freshen everything up. Didn't touch the crank/rod; its still in good shape (the bike is pretty low hour for a 2010).

Nicely done. I always thought the front fender spacing to front wheel on this model year looked so huge compared to others. Must be a trick of the eye. And I freaking still love the Pro Circuit Ti-4 exhaust. Still one of the best looking exhaust cans all these years later.
