Hi , new to site, just wanted to get some thoughts on a 2008 ktm 300 xc that appears to be in very nice condition. Guy is asking 3500, looks like it has some extras and has been well maintained no hour meter though, thanks

They were good bikes, condition is important, if it were a well maintained bike with low hrs then price maybe in the ballpark...you want to find the cleanest low hr bike you can for your money...I like to see them mostly original. Usually the more aftermarket parts on them the more hrs they have on them, as they wore out the original stuff. You can put the bike on a stand and check swingarm & shock, wheel, bearings for wear, look at rims for cracks, lower frame tubes for dents, foot pegs, shifter, kick start for looseness.....all tell tale signs the bike has a lot of hrs....the KTMs last pretty good, but you don't want a bike that's about to grenade a tranny or crank....that will get expensive in a hurry...make sure you pull the air filter off & look in the airboot.....if the filter is dirty & the boot is full of dirt, walk away....
