I'd like to work on corners and ruts more, but this bike's geometry fights me every step of the way. The PC links just didn't make the magic happen either.
Try removing the links, set shock sag and fork to stock height. If you want it to turn sharper run less sag and/or more fork height (raise forks to lower front end). Only make one change at a time. Ifyou go too far you may suffer headshake at high speed, 4th 5th wfo.
I ran the link on my 05 only because I preferred the seat height, but I shortened my forks to match and get the bike to turn again.
The Shop
Piston slap became increasingly louder with 25 hours on the then new Wiseco piston, so I went ahead and ordered a new OEM Kawasaki cylinder last week and tore the engine apart last night.
Probably did this just in the nick of time, too.
The plating is worn all the way through to the aluminum on the intake side!

Otherwise, it's gonna be new bike time sooner than I expected.
But that wear on the intake side is typically from debris. You should double check the intake tract and air filter.
