Where do you buy Psychic parts? They came up on Facebook, but it didn’t look like you could buy from them online.

My graphics weren’t well received on the moto forum, but here they are. Just ordered the cylinder works 269cc kit last night. I’ll have all the parts soon except for the internal bearings.

ebay get the part number from their web site and search, I have used their rods, steel valves and springs in several of my 2 and 4 stroke bikes. A few dealers sell them on ebay. Very happy with the product way better than that W stuff.

Seat cover is from Bike Graphix in Overland Park, KS. Ironically I grew up near there. I think Dennis Jonon owns the place or works there.

Are these stickers/labels available anywhere? I can’t find them when I search OEM parts. I know I don’t need it, but would like one on there. I’ll get rid of this old when polishing the frame.

Took some time today and finally got the bike stripped. Just need to order a few parts, organize the garage some and build a work bench before I start tearing the engine apart.

How have the Psychic internals held up? I see their stuff often, don’t know much about it. Where are they made?

Dennis Jonon does not own Bike Graphix. Though he did work there a long time ago. Dennis Jonon owns a graphic company called RAH JAH designs.

I wasn’t sure if he owned it or not, I had used them several years ago when he worked there. Thanks for clarifying. I remember him flying past me in Kingsville, MO when he was on a 60 and I was on a 250. 🤣

I already have! Looking great so far!!! I got a few ideas from your build for mine. I wish I could’ve found a bike a few years newer, but I think it will be okay for me.

Glad I was already planning a full rebuild. Any ideas on what might have caused the piston damage? Just curious.

Used psychic or Royal 2&4 stroke rods and there steel valve and springs for about 10 years. No failure from any of the parts. After a couple major part failures from the big W rods I tried Psychic. Both part failures on the other brand occurred at small end of rods. Broke at the oil hole same place 2 different bikes. No lack of oil just broke. Destroyed heads and cases. Currently have 7 bikes running Psychic rods and 4 running valves and springs also. They are manufactured at Royal Rods in Taiwan you can google search there company

Sending this off to Tom Morgan Racing hopefully on the 19th. I leave for a stupid Amy field exercise on Monday or I’d send it then.

A little progress. Waiting on the engine to get back from Tom, but I told him no rush, communication has been outstanding. I got the carb back from Tokyo Mods pretty quick, waiting on their CDI to arrive they said 4-5 weeks, but again no rush.

I have a Rocket Exhaust full system exhaust with resonance chamber being built now too. Single muffler, black anodized
.
Hopefully sending the suspension to Factory Connection or SGB soon.

I should have just bought a new bike to save money, but building it has been so much fun.

Not the most popular build by far, but I got the engine back from Tom Morgan and it looks great. I just need to put it back together. His communication is amazing.

I got my Rocket exhaust system today after ordering towards the end of April. Communication was good at first, but horrible after a few weeks. I recommend ordering over the phone. I placed my order and then immediately shot an email requesting a resonance chamber since it wasn’t an option and asked to be billed for the additional charge and was told it would be added to my work order. A few weeks later I emailed to check on the status and was told it wasn’t added, but would be added. Same thing. No way to track the order on the website, exhaust just showed up. I was emailed a tracking number prior to it arriving, but it didn’t say who it was from. Long post, I’m not too upset, but want to let others know in case they order. I’ll order again from them for the next 250R I build, but will call it in.

Looks really good, I just really wish it had the resonance chamber. Just like how they look.

That’s a tidy looking exhaust, being from Australia I’ve never heard of the brand but it looks pretty trick. I’ve been following this build since day one so I’m stoked to see it coming together

Yeah, I’d been looking for a bike for awhile and a guy at work had it for sale. Wasn’t my first choice. I actually am going to build two of them. Got a good deal on a frame, suspension, carb, transmission and various other things. Using some parts off of the first one for the second bike. Not much more I’ll need to get. Hopefully start on the engine this weekend.

These are still my favorite year 250f Hondas, such a great motor. I remember a cam and a piston doing wonders for it.

Just swap valve seats and put some Del West valves in it, super reliable 👌

Definitely following this. Can’t wait to see the end result.

Thanks! I went with Kibblewhite valve kit and the valve seats where what came in the Cylinder Works cylinder head.

I had the head ported by Tom Morgan and also had him install the valves and stage 1 cam.

This will be a slow build though. I just a little spare time today and found out last week I’m probably moving to Hawaii, Saudi Arabia, Belgium or North Carolina next year.

I did get the bearings installed today. I’m going to replace one of the crankshaft bearings though. I bought the Hot Rods kit and after installing it I noticed the inner retainer was plastic and had a bit of a gap between the pins.

It does look amazing. Quality looks great. I just wish it had the resonance chamber. I’ll call and try to order one.
