Hi everyone, had the itch to get back to smokers so I am selling my 09 crf450 and just picked up this RM250. My plan is to run through it all and make sure everything is in good working order, set the suspension up for me, then make it look good.
Starting point
Started off servicing the linkage, was pretty dirty but actually had good grease in so I cleaned it out and repacked.
Nice surprise engraved on the cylinder
Hopefully there is a real hinson billetproof underneath this cover
Pretty happy with my purchase so far, will continue to check back with updates.
Bonus points for whoever can find what is missing from the bike!

The Shop
Suspension will probably be first, I am in AZ so would like to have the convenience of a local shop, however Graeme Brough has been so helpful with answering some of my questions when I rebuilt the boingers on my fiance's RM125 that I would like to support him with my $$. What do you guys think?
Also, you will notice what is missing by looking at the first picture...
Sureee
Ultimately I will be getting a WC perch but want to try to get this one in good working order and make it last for a while, and so I can move it to the lady's 125 when I get the WC.
Also, apologies for the messy garage, had to very quickly "organize" the garage to get the lady's car in due to an incoming storm.
Found some other interesting parts I need help identifying.
This is a cool little full plug that was unfortunately mangled by the previous owner.
Also, I knew it from the beginning it was a possibility, but still disappointing not finding an actual Hinson under that beautiful cover.
Also, I have decided to work with RG3 on suspension for this thing, seems like they are the zuk experts. In the process of getting springs for it first, riding it for the season and seeing what I don't like about feel, and try to work that out with valving next off season.
More pictures.
Reeds are in good shape. Reed cage had TI bolts, is that standard for VForce stuff?
Also found some more peculiar things about this bike, this is how the lock ring was when I pulled the shock off.
Also, snagged a lectron for it, a WC perch, and some new graphics with the newer fender and number plates.
