Im gonna split the cases and put a new crank and bearings in it but what do u guys thing could have cause my crank rod to rub on the cases

Does the crank have excessive up and down play? What's the tolerance on the cylinder? Any piston slap?

Crank didn’t have any up and down play some side to side cylinder looks fine and I don’t think there is any piston slap

Possibly from a previous mechanical failure, and just put back together as is???

Alright so I’m gonna put a new crank in it cause it has a wiseco in it rn but u think it would be fine after I do and I could run it with the case like that
