Picked up this absolutely hammered 2005 crf 250 to build into a dirt track bike to play around on in our local modern 250 class and figured I’d post it up.

Here is what I’m starting with

And here is a blown up crf250 I bought awhile ago that I’ll be using as a donor bike

Took everything apart to start cleaning and sorting everything I got

The past owner hated Honda so much they tried to grind it off the clutch cover ?

Other frame stripped down

Fresh pro wheel 70r hoops laced up with dubya spokes and mounted with shinko dirt track tires

Also found a box of NOS 250 parts sitting up stairs at the honda shop I work at

Carb rebuilt

Trimmed this light speed air scoop/tank cover to just a tank cover

clear coated the magnesium covers with high temp engine paint

Suspension was fully rebuilt and lowered with Race Tech valves, springs, and spacers

Bike is taking shape just waiting for the holidays to pass so I can finish this thing up and ride it

That's an awesome build! It's got me thinking about building a tracker! I've never ridden dirt track but a dedicated budget build would be cool
