This is the first time I've done a full build and I wanted to learn how to do everything without the rush of not having a bike to ride. I bought this bike in October for 1k which seemed fair at the time but it's been quite the project. It was left outside for an unknown amount of time which definitely didn't help.
These are after I pressure washed it sadly... It was spray painted all over and leaking oil from the drain bolt. I got it all tore down and opened the cylinder to check it out and of course it was toast.
So I sent the cylinder off to millennium to be repaired and got to tearing into the motor. This is the first time I've split cases but I do top ends on my 450 so I figured I could do it. I also got the frame powder coated metallic silver.
It had a hot rods crank which I didn't care for and I ended up replacing everything with oem parts. Unfortunately the case had been hit by a chain at some point and was cracked inside where the clutch actuator arm pivots as well as no washer behind the water pump impeller and it had ground into it. I decided to order new cases and outer clutch cover which definitely wasn't planned and cost quite a bit. I eventually got the motor all squared away and ended up getting the cylinder ported and head cut for c12 by Tom Morgan who did a great job as well as quick turn around time. I had planned to leave it all stock but I figured might as well make it rip.
Currently I have the bike to this point. Stripped swing arm and new bearings everywhere. I currently have kx pro circuit clamps as well as linkage for it.
I'm using 09 kx450f suspension for this bike, I have the forks figured out but I need to make the shock work by shortening it or switching the clevis. The stock suspension the chrome was flaking off which I've never even seen before. I'm currently waiting on some parts including the air box which had a hole busted in the bottom of it. Future plans are pro circuit works pipe and ti-2, green plastics with current fender/ plate, black rims laced to the stock hubs or possibly a new set with magnesium colored hubs, undecided on graphics leaning towards current pro circuit set. Now that this is up to date the posts will be much shorter I promise.

Also, are you sticking with the stock TMX38X carb or going with something else?
Love all the Kawi's on here, I just picked up an 03 125 that wasn't abused too bad haha
Where did you find the flo green plastics?
