Nice, I dig the clean look! How is the fit and finish on the kit?

Hey 721, excellent job and outcome !! I'm doing a 2005 KX 250...just waiting on a seat to see how everything lines up. How did you get the airbox pieces that color if you don't mind ? Also, I've been wondering how I'm going to trim the Light Speed frame guards on the shifter side...I got my answer now, so...thank you.

What was your total cost on the 2020 conversion? What part of Canada are you from? I see you have Dons suspension on her!

Good looking build!

It looks like you mounted the newer style fork guards onto the original KYB forks. Are those 2020 fork guards on 2005 forks? It looks like they mounted with no modifications needed.

this question is for anyone;
I'm curious if the newer KX450F/KX250F rear caliper, caliper guard and disk guard will mount onto the older KX rear brake hanger. I know that the brake line is routed differently on the newer bikes vs the older KX's. Has anyone tried this setup yet?

I put a 2018 KX450 rear brake on my 2005 KX250. You have to use the 2018 hangar and caliper, can't use the old hangar with the new caliper as the pins are off by a few MM's. I had to use the newer brake line as well, the mounting angle is different.. The 2018 hangar slid right on the swingarm and had no issues with rotor alignment.

Dude amazing build man! I guess I don't understand when you said you used all OEM parts. Are you talking about the conversion kit to get the 2020 plastics to fit? I know TX racing makes a conversion kit, is that what you used?

The conversion consist of purchasing KX250F OEM parts...subframe, air box, seat, tank, and then purchase the conversion kit, which is all the hard parts to bolt everything together correctly...about $80-100 bucks on eBay. It's a better look than the TX kit imho.

Right on, thanks man. I'll have to check ebay for it. Wasn't sure if someone was still making those. From what I remember, there was a company but they had stopped. Cool project down the road for when I have some money to burn haha. I still really enjoy the stock look.

Anyone have a link for the conversion kit and know if it will also work on an 07 KX250. Thanks.
