Ryan bike looks great I love it. With the lectron and vforce did your air boot fit? I’m having issues with the rad valve and lectron.

Do you have the Boyesen RAD valve?
The lectron requires a shortened boot with some bikes. I switched to vforce on my husky because it took a specific boot with the husky/KTM. With my RM it slips right in.

Yes it’s the rad valve. I was going to buy a vforce but figured I better ask around before I have the same problem. Comparing the rad valve to the stock set up the rad valve is about a 1/2” longer than stock. Thanks I will try a vforce

Latest update. Still needing a couple of expensive pieces but it’s getting very close. Being on furlough at work has hurt my budget though 😅

Been almost a month since my last update. A lot has happened in that time. I’ve officially fired the engine up for it’s first heat cycle, I haven’t put a load on the motor yet, but I have shifted through all the gears on the bench.

Tires are mounted, I’ve torqued everything on the chassis, and got my hands on some cool parts. You’ll notice a bit of carbon, and more is on the way, but a little delayed. I’m also waiting on a DeVol pull rod for the linkage.

Anyway here are some pictures of it now. I went with a JGR theme.

Bike is looking sick. Now I'm going to have to order a load of carbon for my RM build!

Its coming together real nice. I like the new seat cover. The blue/yellow seat was a little to bold for me.

Thanks everyone! I definitely like the new seat cover much more, but I and going to pull it back off and trim the seat foam a bit soon to improve the fit on it.

As for all the carbon, I can tell you where to find it all. I’ve been ordering from 3-4 different companies 😅

I broke my arm a few weeks ago so it has been slow going but I finally got the bike out for a decent shoot. Look for it to appear a bit around instagram soon.

They are done in a dark bronze, the stuff a little lighter than that such as engine cases and hubs are burn bronze, and smaller individual pieces also got done black like the rear brake carrier and of course the cylinder.

Nice work! Lots of effort has gone into the build. Good to see a few Rm’s on here again.

Long overdue update, but it took me almost two years to finally get my hands on a set of upper and lower RG3’s with oversize bar mounts for the RM. can’t wait to clean them up a bit and get them mounted!

Been a while since my last update. Just added a 2003 RM250 to the mix with the intention of making it a look alike to the 125, save for it will get ridden a lot more!
