I have done a complete tear down and frame up rebuild of a 2004 KX 250 and getting ready for completion. Unfortunately, I cannot fine an aftermarket or even OEM replacement for the brake pedal. I see quite a few aftermarket brake pedals for the 240 four stroke, but not sure if those will fit. Any help would be greatly appreciated in order to make sure that I can complete this right. Many thanks!

I’m pretty sure the newer brake pedal will work on the older bikes.

Thanks, Hondas4Life3. I do have an OEM one, but it as well is in rough shape. Was hoping to find something in good shape or confirmation that a new aftermarket one would fit.

Thank you, it has been a very fun project. Almost done. I used H-190 Armor Black and H-148 Burnt Bronze. This was my first experience with Cerakote and it was surprisingly easy to do with a little patience.

Why did you go with the H series. My graphite black and burnt bronze C series should be coming in next week. I was advised the C series since it does not use any catalyst. So if you ever need to color match the catalyst proportion does not change anything. The c series is also air cured and has almost the same properties.

I went with the H series more due to the fact that most of the research I was doing was watching Cameron Niemela and Adam Pagenelli's builds. I knew that due to the condition of some of the components that I was coating would require more aggressive cleaning prep methods with sandblasting, I figured it was the way to go. As I mentioned, this was my first go at this process and I did like the fact that the H series had a little bit more corrosion resistance and durability of the C series. I may have caused myself more work and labor going this route, but it would not be the first time that I made things harder on myself :-)

Hell of a job on the cerakoting man! It looks really awesome, I was motivated by those two guys as well to do a bike build, working on my 07 KX250 as we speak. Can't wait to see what the final product is going to look like. Pumped to see another kawi build, we have to keep these things alive!

Okay, I was inspired by those guys myself to do ceracoating. But after speaking to the european importer he advised me to use the C series. Not saying you did anything wrong. Got my cerakote in the mail today. Maybe i am wrong with the C series Wink realy nice build and ceracoating. I have been wanting to do a kx250 for a long time. I have been powdercoating a lot of stuf for my yz125 and kx250f now going to do some ceracoating. I am probably still going to do all the prep because i dont want to do anything wrong. And we all make thing harder on ourself a lot of timesSmile .

Thanks, Greg! Been watching your video’s too and looks like you have a cool project going. Got my suspension put on after getting it back from Enzo this weekend. It’s starting to look like a dirt bike again. I look forward to watching your progress! Good luck!
