2004 CR85R *Need Help Identifying This Wire*

Hey everyone I’m helping my buddy put back together his recently rebuilt 2004 Honda CR85R but there’s a white wire that appears to be connected to the kill switch but it goes no where ? The kill switch still works and the bike works just fine ? Any idea on what this wire might do or be ? What should I do with it ? Pictures below thanks in advance for any help!

If it's for the kill switch and it still works it is probably the ground side. The other wire should come from the coil

A wire jammed into the plug connection is not OEM so I would leave it out

How about a wire to a handlebar controlled switch for a mapping device?

Kill switches on Honda MX use 2 wires, black and green. The white was spliced in by the previous owner for who knows what. Snip it, garbage and call it day.
