So as the title states, I planning going through and restoring my father’s last race bike to pristine condition. For the most part it’s in immaculate shape, but it’s been sitting for years. I know it’s going to needs some seals, lines, etc..

My father passed a couple years back, and I haven’t ridden much. Recently I was cleaning out my barn I pulled his old race bike out of the corner and while I could never get rid of it. Least I could do is getting fixed up nice so I could put some laps on it.

I’ll post some pics up in a bit.

Sorry to hear about your dad passing.

I do enjoy these builds though. As someone who’s dad introduced them to the sport, these father tribute bikes pull at my heart strings, but they are such an awesome tribute.

One of the gnarliest and fastest bikes I've ever ridden.

It was over a decade before the OEMs built anything as brutishly quick.

Good luck with the build!

Man, I was just about to say the same thing!! I only rode a 2003 yz450 like 1 or 2 times but as much as I dont like 4 strokes, specifically 450's I enjoyed the 03 YZ450 bec of how well the power went with the 4 speed tranny.
